[FFA from Scotland on 10th December, 2007]

What other chants are equally as offensive as sectarian chants?

Fans will ahve to accept that honophobic chants or songs are just as offensive. Why should one form of prejudice be condemned and another not?
Willie Pettigrew from East Kilbride
The chant about Jock Stein disgusts me as well as racist chants
Daiel Birrell from Location (i.e. Glasgow)
THE CURRENT SMEAR CAMPAIGN INVOLVING THE LATE GREAT SCOTTISH HERO -JOCK STEIN- MUST STOP. THE CHANTS OF BIG JOCK KNEW ARE A DISCRACE AND WE SHOULD ALL BE STRIVING TO MAKE SURE THESE CHANTS END NOW.
J from Glasgow, renfrew
i agree with the two above, the chants are a disgrace an should be stopped now how can you chant about something that was never true and when he isnt here to defend himself take points off to stop it.
John Carmichael from Kilmarnock
Jock Stein stuff is disgusting and has sectarianism at its root, although it's not sectarian in content. When will the SPL name which songs are banned? They must have a list for their match observers.
Michael from Glasgow
How about taunts about dead players like Davie Cooper or about tragedies such as the Ibrox disaster? Are those "sectarian at root"?
James from Glasgow
The Jock Stein stuff may be unsavoury but it has nothing to do with bigotry whatsoever You may find it disgusting, as did I when actual lies were sang about Richard Gough but to associate it with sectarianism does the cause no justice at all
